My practice is currently devoted to women.
In response to recent experiences, this work is an attempt to explore new feelings of mine. Angry Women is a series of self portraits depicting different personas, with the aim being to playfully legitimise anger as a woman’s rightful and healthy expression. Under the fictional faces, each character stems from real emotion. Using masks and various guises, the work also navigates identity through performance, subjectivity and hopefully humour.
