‘An Ode To The Ugly Days’ is an exploration into the female coming of age experience. Through reflections on sisterhood as well as issues such as body image, friendship, and identity, we see the turbulent transition from girl to woman. It is not a failure in femininity that we have to eat to stay alive, or that sometimes we bleed and make a mess of our sheets. Our pleasure is more important than putting on a performance, and far more effective in healing the relationship with our bodies. You cannot fail at being a woman, this is not your ugliness.
